What a service of celebration and encouragement inspired by the Holy Spirit, the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ initiative, the Christ Church lay leaders, and the Christ Church family of believers. An eclectic mix of readings, prayers of encouragement, two beautifully performed choral pieces (by a limited number and socially distanced choir) including the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ hymn – ‘We seek your Kingdom’. The Reflection ‘I don’t know who was more surprised’ was delivered by Geoff Kirk. Prayers of Intercession were led by Lucie Bell who after 22 years of ministry here on the island and overseas is stepping back – a shining example of service through the power of the Holy Spirit. The service concluded with a blessing from Lucie and a premier performance of a piano piece composed and played by Richard Britton and accompanied by Neil Walker on the Organ.

A wonderful service of Celebration, Worship and thankfulness to God for his Holy Spirit on this Pentecost Sunday!
